Whether demanding or disputing any payment of monies, this section is designed to help you come out on top. A good place to start is to contact The Japan Legal Support Center with offices throughout Japan. They offer a wide range of legal services such as providing information and giving free legal counseling to people with limited means. You can also contact the National Consumer Affairs Center of Japan that can provide information and assistance with consumer related issues. As for employment issues a good start is the Employments Service Center for Foreigners that offers information on employment issues and also have a consultation service.

Payments disputes that can not be settled through mediations can be taken to court. The summary courts handle civil cases involving claims which do not exceed 1.4 million yen.
